KENINGAU: The decades-long wait of Kampung Menggitom Baru residents to have an open hall has finally come to an end, after more than 40 years.
The facility, built through the efforts of Bingkor Assemblyman Datuk Robert Tawik @ Nordin, was officially handed over to the villagers through the Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) Chairman, Masrudin Abd Halim.
The handover ceremony was officiated by Keningau District Council Deputy Chairman Rafie Robert, who represented Robert, who is also State Assistant Minister of Public Works.
