My book's Anwar: Prison to Palace second chapter is titled "My wish list is to recover Malaysia's stolen wealth". It is a clarion call to bring back billions in Ringgit from Malaysia's rich, famous scoundrels who stole and stashed away the nation's wealth overseas. This is the monetary loss to corruption, according to Emir Research.

"On my wish list, I pray and hope Anwar Ibrahim will pursue through international channels to recover wealth siphoned by Jho Low, former Malaysian Prime Ministers and other corrupt business people now in foreign banks. None of the former PMs, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, nor Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, could bring back Malaysia's lost wealth overseas," the opening paragraph states.

To stop wastage, non-compliance and leakages, Anwar reminded his Cabinet to scrutinize the Auditor-General's Report 2021 remarks seriously.

Life will not be easy for Anwar when he took office with the nation's debts and stolen wealth running to billions. It will be challenging and demanding. He has learnt bitter lessons, and, ultimately, truth will prevail as he weeds out the corrupt leaders.

As one example, recently in the news, the Renong/UEM Group deal will hopefully shed some light on a significant market deal that happened one week in November 1997 at the height of the Asian stock market meltdown. According to The Edge, "On what many have described as Black Week in Malaysia's corporate and market history, the K.L. Composite Index plunged 20%, wiping around RM126.78 billion off the stock market's capitalization. This was after the then United Engineers (M) Bhd (UEM) announced at the close of trading on Monday, November 17, 1997, that it had, on November 13, bought a 32.6% stake in its parent company, the then Renong Bhd, for RM2.3 billion. That worked out to RM3.24 for each of the 722.9 million shares. (UEM and Renong are now part of the UEM Group controlled by Khazanah)."

The MACC has reopened this file and former Tan Sri Halim Saad and Senior Finance Minister Tun Daim Zainuddin.

Anwar: Prison to Palace – PM for All is a tribute to all Malaysians and Anwar, who will chart the journey to a new and better tomorrow. May the hearts of Malaysians continue to beat as one human race under the PM for all races and religions.

PMX 10 Anwar is our beacon of hope for the recovery of billions amidst significant uncertainties of any economic downturns. Let's not forget Malaysians voted for the Pakatan Harapan Government for the values of trust, honesty and accountability that your leaders propagated.

Malaysians have to change and unite in this new dawn in a new era and "Be the change you wish to see in the world," said Mahatma Gandhi. I am a true believer in Karma. What goes around comes around.

As I grow older, I ponder my many mistakes and wrong judgements. I got wiser by learning from my mistakes – unlearning and relearning. I carefully watch and meditate on my thoughts if anyone criticizes or foul-mouths me.

Something is sobering about the age that mellows us and makes us more mature. I pray Anwar and his leadership will not let us down. Let's make our journey meaningful and memorable under the new Government in recovering our nation's lost wealth that is stashed away illegally overseas.
