Used to do a bit of work in corporate restructuring, corporate `undertaker.

Unexpectedly?

Your explanation for deciding on a date much later for Negeri Sembilan as compared to Johor when the timing for the dissolution of the state assemblies for both states was only 3 days apart that the dissolution in Negeri Sembilan came unexpectedly sounded not only amateurish but lacked intelligence in the way you explained it.

Were you part of the search team searching for lost hiker Jaslinda Saludin who was reported lost on 24 May 2026 and finally located 2 weeks later on 6 Jun 2026, thus probably missing news on the political developments in the country?

Any Malaysian who has a little bit of intelligence up there will tell you the dissolution in Johor came unexpectedly.

Johor was an unscripted script in so far as the voting public are concerned.

But not Negeri Sembilan.

The script was already written and sent to the public for preview on 27 April 2026.

Fortunately, the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan send the script back to the scriptwriters, otherwise the election in Negeri Sembilan will only be undertaken much later than the present script.

Johor’s term was scheduled to end only in June 2027.

BN/UMNO have full control and majority control of the state assembly.

Thus, for Johor to suddenly announced that the state assembly is dissolved, one year ahead of the scheduled date was indeed unexpected.

Whereas the dissolution of the Negeri Sembilan state assembly was just waiting to happen the day when the 14 assemblymen from BN/UMNO announced they are formally withdrew their support for the Menteri Besar on April 27, 2026, leaving his administration in a minority.

The 14 Assemblymen from BN/UMNO even formally announced that they have the numbers to form a new state government after Perikatan Nasional’s (PN) five assemblymen publicly offered support, giving the bloc a combined 19 seats in the 36-member Negeri Sembilan state legislative assembly.

Their efforts however, was thwarted when the Yang di-Pertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan refused to grant the 19 assemblymen an audience but instead instructed the existing Mentri Besar to continue to lead the state government as a minority administration.

Even though the 14 Assemblymen later retracted their threats and agreed to continue backing the Mentri Besar until the end of his term, any blind man will tell you that the die is cast and renewed attempts will be made in the future to threaten the Mentri Besar.

Thus, for the Chairman of EC to come out with the unintelligent excuse that the dissolution in Negeri Sembilan came unexpectedly was not very intelligent when it was pretty obvious from 27 April 2026 that the status of state government in Negeri Sembilan is no longer tenable.

To ensure you are not caught off guard again with another state unexpectedly announcing the dissolution of their respective state assemblies, the voting public wish to remind you that the next 2 states whose state legislature will end next after the polls in Negeri Sembilan will be Melaka and Sarawak.

Hope you will get your machinery ready for both and not said it happened unexpectedly,
