The NFC Feedlot project meant a lot to you.

You made national headlines in 2011, after revealing gross mismanagement in the project which had been given a RM250 million loan from the government.

You went to jail for exposing it.

In Feb 2018, the Sessions Court sentenced you to 30 months in jail for leaking banking details relating to the the National Feedlot Corporation (NFC).

The sentence was later overturned by the High Court in the following year pursuant to your appeal where the Judge ruled that the prosecution failed to show the effort it took to produce your original press statement.

NFC also filed a suit against Public Bank Bhd, filed in 2012, revolved around the unauthorized disclosure of confidential banking details of NFCorp and its affiliates, which were subsequently made public.

In June 2025, the Federal Court of Malaysia ordered Public Bank to pay RM90 million in damages to the National Feedlot Corporation (NFCorp) and related parties for breaching banking confidentiality.

Meanwhile, no one asked nor the authorities disclosed what happened to the land - the 809-hectare (roughly 2,000-acre) site in Gemas - which was supposedly the farm on which NFC was supposed to implement their project.

The High Court in a ruling in October 2023 regarding a lawsuit against NFCorp to recover a RM250 million loan, ordered the company and its related entities to return the land in Gemas, along with other properties in Putrajaya and Kuala Lumpur, to the government.

According to the then Agriculture and Agro-based Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob who when queried in 2014, he said that the Negri Sembilan state government, through Mentri Besar Incorporated (MBI), has taken over the site.

You were sentenced to jail for exposing the scandal while no one including the owners were let off scott free.

The last report in 2018 states that the site of the ambitious cattle rearing project lies in a tangle of weeds.

No cows and no workers were spotted at the 600-ha NFC site in Gemas, Negri Sembilan,

In May 2022, the Mentri Besar of Negeri Sembilan reportedly claimed that the Selangor Agricultural Development Corporation (PKPS) will be leasing 160ha (roughly 400 acres) of the land to grow grain corn for animal feed, a project intended to reduce dependence on imported feed.

Taking the cue from the degazatted land in Selangor where the government in Selangor sold it to a private developer, despite public opposition at below-market valuation, the ordinary rakyat is concerned whether the government in Negeri Sembilan did the same to this piece of land.

You stake your reputation and nearly went to jail exposing this.

Don’t let political machinations working behind the same reworking and do the same stunt as in Selangor for this land in Gemas.

The ordinary rakyat now is looking at you as the only person who has the gut and conscience of the ordinary rakyat at hand to ensure that the assets of the ordinary rakyat are not sold off cheap under the guise of development to cronies of the political elites.
