Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Hannah Yeoh has denied signing a house arrest order for imprisoned PM6, saying the document circulating on social media is fake.
She claimed she have never signed a house arrest order such as the one currently circulating on social media and the Pardons Board has yet to convene.
Hannah Yeoh made the above statement on 17 Sept 2026.
And there was no meeting of the Pardons Board on 17 Sept 2026 and days before that.
The Pardons Board only convene the meeting on 18 Sept 2026, a day later.
Hannah Yeoh was right.
How could she have signed the order when the Pardons Board haven’t convened yet?
Her assertion that the document was fake was on the issue that she did not sign such document.
She, however, omitted the gist of the notice that went viral.
She just focused on the signature and that she did not sign the document that went viral.
Omitted from her denial that the document that went viral fake was she did not confirm or denied the subject matter of the notice that went viral i.e is there going to be a meeting of the Pardons Board and if yes, was it held to discuss the application by PM6?
Her response that the said document was not signed by her is a classic defensive move to escape a difficult position, or strategically to steer a conversation toward more productive ground.
She introduced a completely irrelevant topic - she did not signed such a document - to distract the public from the original point.
The goal was to make the audience follow a false trail.
Effectively, she attempted to divert the debate away from the actual, more nuanced argument i.e a meeting of the Pardons Board has been scheduled and the agenda for the meeting is to discuss the application, for the 2nd time, by PM6 for a pardon.
Was she trying to lower the temperature or controlling the agenda that will decided on 18 Sept 2026?
