What was the excuse?
It is the one that we predicted he was going to use all along: that he never said he would resign if BN won big at all. It is you who heard wrong. It is me who heard wrong. It is all the journalist and editors that published the news that heard it wrong. It is everyone who is wrong!
So what did Tai Kor Nga say?
Well, according to Tai Kor, all he promised was that he would resign if Najib is released from jail.
But isn't there a big difference between saying that he would resign if Najib is released and saying that he would resign if BN wins big in Johor? How can so many people misquote him in such a different way?
Is Tai Kor Nga going to sue all the press outlets and personalities who reported that he said he would resign if BN won big in Johor?
No.
Is he at least asking them to apologise and issue a correction?
No.
Why?
I don't know - maybe Tai Kor Nga found Jesus and is trying to be a more forgiving man. 😆
So what do we do now?
Well, since the part with Tai Kor Nga reached a dead end, let us move on to what Abang Anthony Loke has to say.
Why?
Because after DAP was routed in Sabah, Abang Anthony Loke promised that he would take "full responsibility" for the defeat, indicating that he would personally see to it that DAP never suffers another heavy defeat in a state election again.
DAP lost 40 percent of its seats in Johor and almost lost a couple more by the skin of its teeth.
This despite the fact that this time, it contested in 17 seats instead of 14, and entered the contest as a part of the ruling government instead of the opposition it was the last time.
So, considering that DAP's performance in Johor is universally acknowledged as a heavy defeat, Abang Anthony should take full responsibility this time around and at least resign this time, right? After all, he can't just keep saying he will take full responsibility again and again, without doing anything after he says it.
That makes sense.
So is he going to resign?
Of course not.
What is his excuse going to be this time?
Well, my top prediction is that he is going to say that DAP actually didn't lose in Johor—it did okay by winning six seats.
In second place, I also think he is not going to say that he will not resign because that is not going to fix the problem. He has to stay on because It is only if he continues staying in his position and does something to fix the problem that the problem will actually get fixed, because Abang Anthony is the only person in the whole of DAP who can be counted on to fix anything. 😆
