There are two major crises in Negeri Sembilan today - the latter is caused by the former and both the problems are now working together to reinforce the problem that each created, to make the resulting problem impossible to solve.

The first problem happened when the local chieftains of Negeri Sembilan, called the Undangs, deposed the reigning king Tuanku Muhriz and installed Tunku Nadzaruddin as the new king, although Tuanku Muhriz refused to step down.

The second problem happened when Umno, using the pretext that the Negeri Sembilan's Menteri Besar's handling of the royal crisis made him unfit to govern the state government, overthrew the state government and is now attempting to form the next state government.

The two problems are now reinforcing each other to cause an even bigger problem, because from the confusion of not knowing whether Negeri Sembilan has one king, two kings or no king, now Negeri Sembilan is is also facing a confusion as to whether it has one state government, two state governments or no state government .

In the face of this major crisis, do you know what our prime minister is saying ?

Anwar is saying that to solve the issue, it is not necessary that a state election is held, although the final decision is in the hands of Tuanku Muhriz , as the ruler of Negeri Sembilan, as well as proceedings in the state assembly.

“Not likely. It depends, as it is up to Tuanku and the state assembly,” Bernama reported him as saying earlier.

In other words, Anwar is saying that solve a dispute that is caused by the doubt of whether Tuanku Muhriz is still the rightful ruler of Negeri Sembilan, which later on spilled over to the state assembly and caused an impasse in the state government, all that everybody just has to do is just accept that Tuanku Muhriz is still the rightful ruler of Negeri Sembilan and assume that there is no impasse in the state assembly.

I suppose this is what they mean by an "ostrich solution" to a problem .

They say when an ostrich sees a predator approaching , instead of dealing with the problem, the ostrich will just bury its head in the sand.

The idea here , I suppose, is that if the ostrich can't see the predator, then it will be as if the predator doesn't exist. Problem solved.

I suppose following the ostrich method, Anwar also believes that if he just ignores the royal crisis as well as the state government crisis in Negeri Sembilan , it will be as if there is no crisis at all, and then the problem will resolve itself.

I must say that I am indeed curious to find out whether Anwar's " Ostrich solution" will indeed work.

As absurd as it sounds, the way to solve an impossible problem, might indeed be by using an unreal solution.

So who knows right, maybe Anwar might be on to something here - maybe he is a supreme intelligence whose genius can only be appreciated by future generations. 🤷

Anyway, let's see how the cookies will crumble tomorrow
