Recently, you reportedly condemned those who had disclosed an internal PKR analysis highlighting the party’s eroding public support in key constituencies, calling those who leaked the documents more interested in being a “source of treachery for the sake of sensational news” than maintaining organisational etiquette.

Absolutely, every organization, political parties not excluded, has its internal problems.

Keeping matters confidential in today’s era of transparency and in the age of TikTok especially in moments when saying too much can have disproportionately negative, even viral impact.

In today’s environment, being forthcoming as early and often as possible is widely considered a superior crisis management strategy compared to denial or defensiveness, as it transforms a damaging leak into an opportunity for demonstrating leadership and competence.

Instead of focusing on the breach, as a leader and the Number 2 in PKR, you should take ownership of the document as it allows you to frame the narrative, build trust, and address the substantive issue.

Being honest about the broader situation also sets the stage for future disclosure.

It kicks off a process wherein it is clear that something is happening and that when you, as the next in line for the leadership of PKR can talk about it, you will.

That removes some of the drama, while reinforcing trust amongst PKR supporters and the public at large.

You must be honest and admit that PKR has an intractable problem and how, inspite of that, PKR plans to address Malaysia's deeper governance problems rather than just seeking power for PKR and Pakatan Harapan.

The problems that PKR faced presently may seem massive and probably you think that it is all too difficult.

As the next in line for the Presidency of PKR, share your desire to build a nation at ease with itself.

A nation at ease with itself would present its population with the same opportunities whatever part of the country or whatever background they came from.

Such a society would enjoy greater prosperity, its ordinary rakyat would enjoy longer and more satisfied lives, and inequality between the richest and the poorest would be narrowing.

And you, if you become the President of PKR will bring Malaysia which is now at the threshold of such a time, and all ordinary Malaysia across that threshold.
