Every single time, when politicians like Dr Akmal berates his fellow Pakatan colleagues, specifically politicians from DAP, PMX typically will keep his distance or silence and failed to respond.
The latest statement from his Deputy Prime Minister puts PMX to shame.
When a leader fails to speak out against threats made to their followers, it shows weak leadership.
Leaders must protect all their people.
Silence acts as a green light for continuation of those uncouth and unbecoming behaviour.
To quote, the Deputy PM, Zahid was telling his Cabinet colleague, Nga Kor Ming, the National Deputy Chairman in DAP and also the Minister of Housing and Local Government
to watch his tongue as political partners should look after the feelings of their allies.
Zahid reportedly said no individual should question the EC’s authority, especially a cabinet minister who is also a senior leader in a party that is part of the government.
What did Nga Kor Ming did that resulted in Zahid warning him to watch his tongue?
Nga publicly questioned why the dates for the Johor polls (July 11) and Negeri Sembilan polls (August 1) are separated despite both states announcing their dissolution at almost the same time and why polling day was set on a Saturday instead of a Sunday, which he argued would be more friendly for voters.
Johor announced the dissolution of their State Assembly on 2 June 2026 followed by Negeri Sembilan, 3 days later announcing the dissolution of their state legislative assembly on 5 June 2026.
No individual should question the EC’s authority?
Malaysians are NOT useful "fools".
When the public cannot question legislative and enforcement bodies, true accountability is lost.
Accountability means the government must explain its actions and face consequences for mistakes or abuse of power.
Without it, public trust fades.
PMX is well aware of the danger of giving a person or body the power to govern others is the possibility that the power might be abused.
He was on the receiving end of it.
Not once but twice.
But yet you kept your head down when others are attacking and admonishing your fellow colleagues, people who have shown total loyalty in your ascension to the post of Prime Minister of this country.
Instead your Deputy Prime Minister who has never hidden his ambitions to succeed you as the Prime Minister did what you failed spectacularly, defending his party colleague and the country’s institutions.
PMX, shame on you.
