Otherwise, why the `viciouness’ by almost every of the political parties or coalitions, particularly from PAS and now BN/UMNO in demonising and urging voters to "kasi bungkus" (vote out) Anthony Loke – as urged by the DPM and President of UMNO to voters in Chennah - and by extension PH and DAP?
Why the viciousness in the attacks and demonisation of their opponents to the extent that the MB in Johor openly said that he will not sit in the same table with DAP?
BN / UMNO are partners with PH and DAP in the Madani government since Nov 2022.
Whatever policies, decisions made by the Madani government for the country and the states are made with the concurrence and agreement of every of the political parties or coalitions – BN /UMNO and PH and DAP - in the Madani government.
Yes, PH and DAP had their failings governing the country for the past 3+ years.
Yes, corruption still persists.
Yes, PMX constantly harp on all the corrupted acts perpetrated by politicians.
Yes, awards of government contracts to `preferred’ or known cronies of the Madani government still persists.
Yes, costs of living still remained high.
The economy is in the doldrums despite the ringgit experiencing an overall appreciation against the US dollar from November 2022 to the present, moving from a low of around RM4.74–RM4.78 per USD up to approximately RM4.085 per USD.
While between November 2022 and the first quarter of 2026, Malaysia’s cumulative Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) position increased by RM253.0 billion, growing from RM860.8 billion in Q3 2022 to an all-time high of RM1,113.8 billion (RM1.11 trillion) as of Q1 2026.
And unemployment decreased by 0.6 percentage points from November 2022 to the latest official data in May 2026.
BN /UMNO are no saints.
BN / UMNO are equally responsible for whatever decisions or actions in all the above as they are also part of the Madani government.
So is GPS from Sarawak and GRS from Sabah, both of which are part of the Madani government.
If any of the political parties or coalitions disagree with what was done and happened, why did they still stay and remained in the Madani government?
They could have just walk away and withdraw their support for the Madani government.
But none did.
None wants to withdraw or exit from the Madani government on their own accord.
For whatever reasons, only they themselves knew.
Even in the elections in Sabah in Nov 2025 where all political parties and coalitions from Semenanjung was shown the exit, GRS did not demonise PH like the way BN /UMNO was doing in the elections in Johor and Negeri Sembilan.
By speaking ills of what is happening in the country at elections in the Johor and Negeri Sembilan, BN/UMNO is directly admitting that they also failed in governing and administering the country.
BN / UMNO is also responsible for the country to be in the doldrums as claimed by them in the campaigns in Johor and Negeri Sembilan.
BN/UMNO can’t walk away and disclaim from whatever failures or malaise affecting the country presently as what they claimed in their campaigns in Johor and Negeri Sembilan.
Or was that an indirect inference, launched at a state side event, from BN / UMNO towards PMX personally?
Otherwise, why the constant and persistent fear against DAP?
When DAP was not part of the Madani government and was languishing in the opposition benches, BN / UMNO demonised them.
And when DAP became part of the government, they are still being demonised.
Are they so fearsome?
DAP only has 40 MPs out of 222 MPs.
They hold 5 Ministerial positions out of the total of 32.
Numerically, DAP is in the minority.
When the majority attacks the minority, it often shows an inferiority complex, deep fear, and a need for power.
The majority group worries they might lose their social status or control and thus, the most convenient excuse, blame the minority for their own economic or social troubles.
Yes, Malaysian political speech relies heavily on indirect communication, subtext, and coded language (kiasan) rather than literal meaning.
In Malaysian politics, the pantun is far more than a poetic flourish; it is an instrument of strategic indirectness (kiasan)."
Public attacks ostensibly aimed at a minor political figure or coalition partner frequently serve as a proxy to pressure the top leadership or test public reaction.
PH, particularly DAP, are no saints themselves with their sharp rhetorics against BN / Umno and PAS.
Both give as good as they get.
So, isn’t it obvious that PH and DAP are indeed doing something good for the country for them to get such a rough beating of late not only from the opposition but also by their partner in the government at the Federal level?
This should be incentive enough for supporters and fence sitters to continue in their support for PH and DAP including in the upcoming 16th GE that could be held anytime from now to Feb 2028.
