Not too long ago, I wrote an article that said it was probably going to be my last post about Muhyiddin, because not only do I not think that Muhyiddin is a political factor, I don't think it is likely that he will be able make a comeback either.

In other words, from my point of view, Muhyiddin's political career is over. If he is to remain in the political arena, his presence has no meaning - he cannot make any impact or institute any change - other than fill up time and space, he has no reason for being.

I still am retaining the view that Muhyiddin is no longer a political factor and that he will not be able to turn things around, but I am writing another post about him, because what he is doing in Bersatu now is so absurd, that I can't help but say something.

Do you know what Muhyiddin just did ?

So let us do some math to see what Bersatu's MP count is today .

After GE16 in 2022, Bersatu had 31 MPs.

Then from late 2023 to to early 2024, Bersatu lost 6 MPs, or the 6 Jahanams, who declared support to Anwar.

Then when Hamzah was sacked last February, it lost another 4 MPs, including Hamzah.

Now I will go on a limb and say that the 5 suspended MPs and 3 MPs that were given warning today, are not going to toe the line - instead, they are going to escalate whatever they did to incur the disciplinary action, to dare Bersatu to sack them.

So in total, I would say that Bersatu has lost 18 of the 31 MPs that it originally had.

This means that the number of MPs that has lost confidence in Muhyiddin is much higher than the MPs that have confidence in him.

Now I don't know what is going on in Muhyiddin's head right now, but if I were to take a guess, I would say that Muhyiddin is now in the state of mind that is akin to somebody who breaks up with their girlfriend right before their girlfriend breaks up with them.

It is actually their girlfriend that wanted to break up with them. They actually don't want to break up with their girlfriend.

But being forced into a situation where the break up is going to happen regardless of whether they want it to happen or not,, they will then decide to break up with their girlfriend first, just so they will have the satisfaction of telling themselves that it is they who rejected their girlfriend, and not their girlfriend that rejected them.

Now when I imagine Muhyiddin's state of mind today as being similar to a boyfriend who is rejecting his girlfriend before his girlfriend can reject him, you know what I feel he is experiencing ?

I feel that Muhyiddin is feeling like he is so small, so so small, that his self worth is being gravely affected.

That is why he is rejecting those who are rejecting him before they can reject him.

He is doing it, not because he is trying to turn things around or because he sees any light at the end of the tunnel, but simply because he wishes to avoid feeling absolutely worthless and humiliated, if he is confronted with just one more rejection.

Now you might be wondering, why doesn't Muhyiddin just step down and relief himself and the everybody else around him of the misery and utter wretchedness that his sutbornness is putting them through ? It is not as if he or anyone else will starve if he steps down.

Well, I think the answer is that that is just the value system of the older generations. For some reason, these older generation, who are in their 70s or 80s today, all unanimously believe that stepping down Is some sort cardinal sin that must be avoided at all cost .

It is not only Muhyiddin that displays this tendency , by the way, but also other old timers who are of his age, like Hadi.

Hadi literally said that he wants to be the Pas president until he dies, even though he is so sick and feeble now, that it is unlikely that he is capable of functioning effectively as the head of Pas.

I doubt that Anwar or Zahid, who are in the same age group, can be dragged away for their post and position by wild horses either.

In contrast, younger leaders like Nurul Izzah, Syed Saddiq, Khairy and Rafizi have shown that that they are capable of stepping down from their post and position, when they have lost support or if the situation demands it.

This one reason alone should be enough for us to see why younger leaders are far better than these old leaders, who will not go even when they have lost the confidence of their followers and supporters.

They will not even go even when they are clearly rejected.

Instead, they will even be persuaded to descend into the absurd , and choose to reject others even when they are the ones that are rejected, just to cling on their post and position.

As they say, old age alone does not being wisdom and nobility of spirit.

It is what you believe and how you practise it that does.

I don't know what is that that the Muhyiddin, Anwar, Hadi or Trump generation believes in or practises, but whatever it is, I not only think that it is not granting them any wisdom or nobility of spirit, even when they have reached a ripe old age, but I think that if we don't take them out of the equation soon, they are going lead us all to ruin .
