And for sure, based on how they perform and introduce policies to govern and manage the country’s resources, all of them delight in keeping voters being divided for them to continue to lord over all Malaysians.
And this applies to both the governing and opposition members alike.
Both, are birds of the same feathers.
When the government announced that they are implementing a phased Work From Home (WFH) policy for civil servants starting April 15, 2026, primarily to reduce fuel consumption, lower operational costs for government offices, and manage economic pressures, particularly for those commuting over 8km in Klang Valley and state capitals, voices were muted.
Yet, within days of the announcement, PMX reportedly travelled actively across the country, engaging in field visits and special meetings amid a global energy crisis and economic challenges.
Not to be outdone, within the same period i.e April 2026, politicians from Perikatan Nasional (PN), organized a large-scale motorcycle convoy led by opposition-led state leaders, a 10km motorcycle ride from Dataran Batu Buruk to the Terengganu State Sports Complex held in conjunction with the Fifth International Ijtimak Perpaduan Ummah and Himpunan Alam Melayu 2026.
Both events clearly showed how the politicians treated the voters.
It doesn’t matter whether the participants used their own funds or not.
When there is a worldwide crisis hitting people, it is distasteful to see opportunistic politicking by politicians for the people to waste monies on such an event.
At a time when one should conserve fuel and use it prudently, wouldn’t it be better for the politicians to advise the people to use their hard earned monies to address food inflation, healthcare, education, and transportation?
Politicians, regardless of which side of the divide will talk one thing and do the opposite.
Telling people to conserve while they themselves indulge in rides on motorbikes and helicopters.
Malaysian voters are not only generous but also benevolent for they have been returning these politicians, many of whom have been in politics far longer than most of the voters, and allowing and listening to them governing this country.
It is time for each of us to reach out to each other, to keep explaining to each other the harm that the politicians in this country has done and is doing, to our country.
