You know, in engineering there is a saying : if the problem requires a cow to be a sphere in order to be solved, an engineer should be able to imagine a cow as a ball.

When I was in engineering, that made sense, but when Tucker Carlson is applying the same approach to say that Muslims love Jesus, and it is just the "powers that be" that are keeping this fact hidden from the rest of the world, something feels off.

I suppose if you extend any argument, you can come to any conclusion - a really clever person, I reckon, could cleverly make any argument, to the point that on paper, they can even prove to you that water is dry and fire is wet.

But I suppose this is why Einstein cautions us to make things " as simple as possible , but no simpler."

If you make an argument simple, you will gain insight and knowledge - but if you continue to make it simpler even after you have made it simple, you will strip it off any meaning and cause it to become so meaningless, that it can mean anything and nothing at the same time .

I suppose if we extend Tucker's argument here, we can say that since Muslims love Jesus and Jesus was a Jew, then the Muslims also must love the Jews, and thus the relationship that Israel and Iran is having now, contrary to what we believe, is actually a form of love, and not a form of hatred, as most of us believe.

I know some of you are thinking , "c'mon Nehru, you can't stretch this argument this far," but to that I will say that it is just not convincing because I have not spent enough time polishing it - I am sure that that if some clever person spends more time and work on it, he or she will be able to polish it and attach more details to this argument, and then it will become more sophisticated and persuasive.

On paper, we can make this argument , but in reality, we know that Iran and Israel do not love each other - they want to kill each other.

Muslims also don't see Christians as one of them, and vice versa.

Even if both the Muslims and Christians talk about Jesus, it is more probable that they have a different person in mind than they have the same person. Words , after all, do not have to contain meaning or share the same meaning - you and I can say that we love Harry Potter, for example, but have a completely different notion of who Harry Potter is. As a matter of fact, the Harry Potter in your mind could very well be the Voldemort of someone elses mind, and vice versa.

If we see that the Muslims and Christians both love Jesus, everything we are seeing and experiencing in the past up to the present - from the crusades to the Holocaust to the war in Iran to the energy price spike to the economic crisis - should not exist.

But they do exist, and no matter how noble or well meaning Tucker Carlson's intentions are, they will still mean nothing if what he wants to be true does not stand the test of experience.

I think at some point we are going to have to stop fooling ourselves into seeing relationship between the Jews, Christians and Muslims as something that is more of less positive, with some negative incidences and events punctuating it .

Rather, the more realistic view is that their relationship has been negative and antagonistic from the start.-.they might have some level of positive events punctuating their relationships, but this positive relationships is the exception rather than the norm - as a norm their relationship is mostly negative and and antagonistic.

Their history literally tells us that their relationship negative and antagonistic..

Their history and relationship is so antagonistic and negative, that not only has it caused wars, bloodshed and violence in the past, it is still causing it today, as can be seen by the war in Iran and Gaza.

Their relationship has been so negative and antagonistic, from the moment they formed a relationship and for as long as they have existed, that rather than see them as being the same people with superficial difference, the more meaningful way of perceiving them is as as essentially different groups of people with some superficial similarities.

That despite sharing similar origin stories, concepts, terminologies, heroes, rituals and ideas, they generally view each other as so diametrically opposed to themselves, that all of them likely believe that if the existence of the other is to be held as true and valid, then their own existence is in danger of being dismissed as illegitimate and false, and that if for them to be comfortable being themselves or becoming who they wish to be, then the existence of the other must be dismissed as fake or flawed at best, or at worse, be condemned as false and or perfidious.

At the end of the day, no matter how beautiful a lie is, it is still a lie.

Contrarily, no matter how bitter a truth is, it is still the truth.

For the sake of our happiness and well being, just like it is always better for us to choose a nugget of gold than a mound of dirt, it is better for us to choose a truth that stands the test of experience, no matter how bitter it is, than it is to choose a lie that only appears beautiful on paper.

A bitter truth might make us an ape, but at least we will be a rising ape.

On the other hand, even if a beautiful lie makes us an angel, we will still be nothing more than a falling angel.

As it is said, it is always "better to be a rising ape than a fallen angel.*
