Recently, PAS vice-president and also the Terengganu Menteri Besar Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar says the Kemaman by-election has been “imposed” upon voters because some “disappointed” people were unhappy with the Islamic party’s victory in the 15th general election (GE15).

In Sept 2018, the Terengganu Menteri Besar said the same. The Port Dickson by-election is a waste, forced onto the people, and shouldn’t be held in the first place.

He also likened the Port Dickson by-election to the Kajang move, which was also another waste.

The Terengganu Mentri Besar is spot on.

The majority of the ordinary rakyat is in total agreement with him on this.

The power elites and the politicians should not force on the people what was already decided.

The present unity government was decided at the request of the YDP Agong.

The constant insinuations made by the President of his party that there will be a change of government soon in Putrajaya is akin to imposing on the ordinary rakyat what was already decided by the YDPA.

Similarly, based on his reasoning for the Kemaman by-election, it appears that some disappointed people in his party were unhappy that despite being the party with the most MPs but not enough to secure a mandate for them to govern, they were not governing the country.

The Vice President should advise his party leaders to cease all such insinuations immediately.

Let the present coalition continue to govern until the next General election is called.

With the way the various coalitions in the unity government is governing the country presently, maybe his party will have a chance in the next general election.

His party and their partner in the Perikatan Nasional coalition should cease all insinuation made in public which not only confused the ordinary rakyat but appears to impose upon the voters that their will and decision made in Nov 2022 would not be respected.

Can the Terengganu Mentri Besar and PAS VP do that i.e ask his party leaders and elders to cease all incessant talks in public of Perikatan Nasional's (PN) plans to topple the unity government either through a no-vote confidence, statutory declarations or supporters of the governing coalition withdrawing their support for the unity government?

Like the PAS VP said, forcing a change in government, moreso a government formed at the request of the YDPA, should not have been dreamt of in the first place.
