Right at the time that Iran was considering his ceasefire proposal, Trump decided to threaten the Iranians with expletives in his social media post.
“Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran. There will be nothing like it!!!” Trump wrote.
“Open the F****n’ Strait, you crazy bastards, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah.”” Trump wrote, in a manner that no head of nation has ever spoken before.
Not surprisingly, Iran chose to decline the ceasefire offer. When some screams expletives at you publicly, ,threatens you and mocks your god, it is indeed difficult to come to terms with them.
Now some people are construing Trump's outburst as a sign that Trump is unhinged, but that view lacks insight.
Trump is not unhinged - he knows precisely what he is doing. Everything he has done, from giving terms of ceasefire that Iran will find impossible to fulfil or ranting in expletives against Iran after he gave them the terms, is likely calculated to make sure that Iran will not agree to a ceasefire.
Why ?
Because Trump likely wants to escalate the war with Iran so that he can invade and conquer it, not deescalate it and make things return back to the way it was.

If you ask me, I think Trump wants to invade and conquer Iran, simply because he wants to be a conqueror. Trump, as we can plainly see, doesn't want to be seen as an equal to other global leaders like Xi Jinping or Putin - instead, he wants to be seen as a capo di tutti capi - a boss of all bosses , and he will only be able to secure that position, if he invades and conquers a strong but rebellious nation like Iran.
Other than that, he might also want to conquer and break Iran, because that is what Israel wants. Israel has crossed the Rubicon in the middle east. It now only has two options : either crush all the Islamic nations around it or be destroyed by them. Trump might be intent on crushing Iran because Iran is the main nation in the middle east that poses an existential threat to Israel.
There is also the possibility that Trump might want to conquer and crush Iran because he wishes to expand the borders of the western Civilization. The western civilization is in decline. To arrest it's decline and rejuvenate it, Trump is seeking to expand the territory of the Western Civilization in the Americas and the middle east. In the Americas, he has already attacked Venezuela and captured its president Nicolas Maduro. From what he has hinted, Trump will also most likely attack Cuba very soon. In the middle east, together with Israel, he is also at war with multiple Islamic nations. Iran is the main nation that stands in the way of Trump's desire to convert the Islamic nations in the middle east into western nations. To fulfill his goal of expanding the western civilization into the middle east, he must first crush Iran.
Anyway, regardless of what the reason maybe , one thing is for certain, let us not expect the war in Iran to end anytime soon.
It won't end anytime soon, because belligrents are not fighting the war reluctantly - they, as in Israel, America and Iran, are likely doing so because they want to fight in the war, for their own reasons, and they are not going to stop fighting, until they get what they want.
Thus, the war in Iran will only end when either one side achieves complete victory over the other or if both sides are completely exhausted.
In other words, it will likely take years or decades for the war in Iran to conclude.
Therefore, whatever we plan, let us do it with the anticipation that the war in Iran will likely intensify, not abate, in the coming months and years .
