Brainwashing young minds with subtle ideology: “We are Islamic (Isley); the others are not Islamic,” says a viral TikTok video.
“This has been carefully organised, and it operates quietly – 24 hours a day, seven days a week, where innocent young children are exposed to these ideas from the very beginning in kindergartens,” says the commentator in the TikTok video by contributor Layan Popcorn.
The video titled: "Dangerous to be Quiet, Losing Before Elections, opens with scenes of Malays waving the green PAS flags. In a summary, the video depicts that Malaysians are divided into those who are Islamic and those who are not influenced by PAS indoctrination. “If PH continues to be soft and practice elite-style politics, then PH can forget about ever winning.”
The message is simple:
"We are the genuine Islamic ones. Those people are not Islamic. It may be subtle, but its effects last a lifetime, and young minds and Muslims vote for Islamic parties.”
“By the time these children grow up, they have been conditioned to automatically reject anything that comes from us. And that's not the end of it. When they go home, they attend the local surau. There, retired members of the community gather. Who holds the microphone?” the commentator continues.
“Listen carefully. If you think Pakatan Harapan's defeat in the recent election was purely because of economic issues, you're making a huge mistake. We didn't lose because our policies failed. We lost because we neglected a silent threat that has quietly infiltrated society right down to the grassroots. This isn't about seasonal politics.”
“Whether we realise it or not, they (Islamic-minded) have been shaping the minds of our children from as young as four years old. Where? In their kindergartens. Who sits in front teaching the congregation? The same people. From dawn until night, the same narrative is repeated over and over again, wrapped in the language of religion. Retirees who should be spending their time in worship are instead fed fear every single day. Day after day, they are told that the nation is under threat.”
The commentator added: “That is the real reason behind our biggest electoral defeat. We talk about development. We talk about billions of ringgit in investments. But we forgot that our voters' minds have already been shaped—from kindergarten all the way to the surau. This is extremely dangerous if we continue pretending not to see it. If we don't address it now and continue practising soft, elite-style politics, we can forget about winning the next general election. We will keep losing, and losing, and losing.
Why? Because they don't need to wait for election campaigns to win votes. Their long-term ideological messaging has already been working inside people's minds for years before polling day.”
Pakatan Harapan, the commentator called on the party, “It's time to rise. Change the strategy. Wake up now – or we'll be left standing helpless forever,” he concluded his TikTok commentary.
