Malaysians are shocked at PMX giving the terrorist organisation Hamas importance in speeches in Parliament.

Now the ball is at MPs' feet to question the reason for PMX Anwar Ibrahim displaying credibility and respect to a branded terrorist group, Hamas.

“I was shocked when I read PM Anwar Ibrahim’s speech in Parliament that he consulted Hamas leaders on state matters, especially involving Non-Muslim entities that possibly have ties to Israel. Anwar made such an announcement in defence of his Madani Government's decision to sell shares in MAHB, which manages our 37 airports, to firms related to firm BlackRock and Israel, which many Muslim leaders had condemned,” said A former journalist and a renowned Sabah activist, Dr Kanul Gindol, who recently proved that age and health challenges are no obstacle to obtaining a PhD.

Dr Kanul is Sabah's chairman of Gindol Initiative for Civil Society Borneo.

Dr Kanul, 58, who is also a cancer survivor, said he was glad that despite the setbacks he faced, like COVID-19, lack of funding and then being diagnosed with colon cancer three years ago, he managed to finish his studies in time for his convocation at American globalised Wilmington Metropolitan University (WMU) in Kuala Lumpur on 25th June, this week.

Dr Kanul added that PMX also mentioned and implied that he had also consulted Hamas on doing business with Apple, Microsoft and Nvidia which all have ties and interest to and in Israel, and that Hamas gave consent to it.

“This brings in a new diplomatic interpretation of sovereignty whereby Malaysia preferred "problematic" parties for consultation in its business ventures.

“It is only that we in Sabah and Sarawak must be extra wary of the new Madani approaches and its preference for questionable international fellowships. I call on our MPs to be brave in Parliament, if they have dissenting opinions, and not just keep quiet,” he added in a media statement.
