OPPO has rolled out a new set of updates for ColorOS 16, aimed at making everyday smartphone use more personal, creative, and responsive.
The update covers customisation, camera tools, and general system performance, continuing OPPO’s approach of refining ColorOS gradually over time rather than through one large overhaul.
One of the bigger additions is new fingerprint unlock animations and icon styles, letting users mix and match different looks to personalise one of the most frequently used interactions on their phone, turning something as routine as unlocking the device into something a bit more expressive.
Meanwhile, the Camera app received 2 new filters – Primrose and Bold B&W to really dial in what the mood of the setting is. As for communication, users can now preview and customise Contact Posters before assigning them, giving more control over how they appear to friends and family during calls.
Rounding out the update is smoother transition animations across Recent Tasks for more fluid multitasking, along with support for a backup face profile to help Face Unlock stay reliable across different everyday situations and lighting conditions.
