The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has frozen the leave of all 2,500 officers and enforcement personnel nationwide in conjunction with the Hari Raya Aidilfitri Special Ops (HRA) 2025.

As reported by Sinar Harian, JPJ’s Deputy Director-General Datuk Jazmanie Shafawi said the special operation, which will begin from Mar 24 to Apr 8, 2025, focuses on enforcement and advocacy to reduce the rate of road accidents during the festive season.

"During the HRA Special Operation, we focused on seven key offences such as not obeying the speed limit, violating traffic lights, overtaking on double lines and in formation, driving in emergency lanes, and using mobile phones," he said in a press conference during the HRA Special Operation 2025 engagement session of JPJ Kelantan at the Bukit Jawa JPJ Enforcement Station last Monday.

Jazmanie added that besides the special ops, the ban on heavy vehicles will also be enforced between Mar 29 and 30 and from Apr 5 to 6. He also stressed that JPJ will ensure that enforcement activities throughout this operation are carried out effectively and with high impact to reduce the rate of accidents and deaths due to road accidents.
