Sandro Orlandelli is proud of his work as Arsenal scout.

Brazilian Orlandelli spent 10 years with Arsenal between 2002 and 2012.

He recalled to Premier League Brasil: "The scout goes through frustrations, but I was also able to participate in the selection of Van Persie, Fabregas, Clichy... They were players who were successful in Arsenal's second winning generation (...)

"We also had the chance to bring players like Denlson (midfielder), Carlos Vela and Emiliano Martnez, Argentina's goalkeeper in the World Cup."

On former Gunners manager Arsene Wenger, he added: "He is a man who has always been ahead of his time. One of the most striking characteristics I was able to have at work, especially in the player's mentality. Identify to minimize error.

"I learned from him not only to bring players, but to be as unerroneous as possible when choosing. Develop the best of your potential. A golden opportunity alongside this guy who I consider a genius."
