TAWAU: A woman here was arrested last week on suspicion of abusing her 10-year-old nephew.

The boy suffered injuries, including a cut chin, forehead bump, bruising on his buttocks, and a blood clot behind his ear.

AdvertisementDistrict police chief ACP Jasmin Hussin confirmed the suspect has been released on police bail pending further investigation.

A doctor at Tawau Hospital filed a police report after examining the boy's suspicious injuries on Dec 10, prompting the investigation.
