Burnley boss Sean Dyche felt his side was hard done by against Wolves.
The Clarets were looking likely to seal a crucial away win in the Premier League.
But they were denied due to a foul on Raul Jimenez in the 95th minute, which the video referee confirmed.
Jimenez stepped up to convert from the spot and give his side a valuable point.
Dyche said to the club's official website: "I think it's a harsh penalty. I am a big believer in VAR, but Erik is going to clear the ball and their lad actually jumps in front of him.
"It's clever, but Erik does catch him and I although I think there's a strong chance that VAR overturns that, there was contact in the box and it's a tough call.
"Today, we've just had to swallow one, but there were a lot of good things today.
"Sometimes a scoreline changes the feeling, but it shouldn't in this case because that was a really strong performance."
