Oscar De Marcos has been named new captain Athletic Bilbao.
De Marcos, 35, will succeed Iker Muniain at the end of the season with the latter to depart his hometown club.
Midfielder De Marcos recently signed a new 12 month contract to 2025.
He has been a regular this season, helping Athletic win the Copa del Rey and return to Europe.
Athletic confirmed the decision after victory over Sevilla on Sunday.
