KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 27 — OSK Holdings Bhd’s net profit jumped to a record high of RM427.19 million in the financial year ended Dec 31, 2022 (FY2022) from RM398.23 million last year on improved operating performance and market conditions.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia today, the conglomerate, with diversified business interests in property, financial services and investment holding, construction, industries and hospitality, said its revenue climbed to an all-time high of RM1.32 billion from FY2021’s RM1.13 billion.

It said the group also saw its total assets reach a new high of RM9.68 billion in FY2022 from RM9.22 billion last year, with corresponding earnings per share of 20.72 sen against 19.31 sen in FY2021.

For the fourth quarter ended Dec 31, 2022 (4Q FY2022), OSK said its net profit advanced to RM121.32 million from RM98.32 million in the previous corresponding quarter, while revenue was higher at RM332.71 million from RM314.57 million in 4Q FY2021.

OSK Holdings also proposed a single-tier final dividend of four sen per share, payable on May 12, 2023.

Group executive chairman Tan Sri Ong Leong Huat said the group’s performance has recovered to above the pre-pandemic levels due to the strategies and plans the company put in place years ago.

“These measures have come to fruition, underpinned by the continued economic recovery seen in 4Q FY2022.

“The board is confident of maintaining a satisfactory level of results in FY2023,” he said. — Bernama
