
- More than 10,000 injuries were recorded on the London Underground network in the past three years, with Transport for London (TfL) paying out £3,209,421 in personal injury claims in 2024-25 alone.
- Waterloo station reported the highest number of incidents with 471 injuries, followed closely by King's Cross St Pancras (470) and London Bridge (375).
- The most common types of incidents were slips, trips, and falls, accounting for 6,847 reports, alongside Platform Train Interface (PTI) incidents, which resulted in 1,336 injuries.
- Escalators were identified as the most dangerous areas, with 4,585 injuries, followed by stairs, station platforms, and booking halls.
- TfL said that customer and staff safety is their top priority, confirming they are implementing targeted actions to improve safety and work towards the Mayor's Vision Zero aim of eliminating deaths and serious injuries by 2041.
