SHAH ALAM, July 12 — Some 120 participants participated in the Relax Mobile Legend e-sports competition, organised by the Sementa state constituency’s office.
Its coordinator Afrishah Azizi said besides gathering video game fans, the event is one of the approaches to reaching out to youths.
“Through this competition, youths can be brought together under the same interests, regardless of religious differences.
“Given the stimulating response, we plan to organise a similar programme, but on a bigger scale,” she told SelangorKini yesterday.
Meanwhile, the office has also intensified the Ziarah Prihatin Sementa programme, with visits to elderly citizens and the less fortunate.
“Alhamdulillah, the visits are still going on, and we hope the distribution of food baskets will help to ease their burden,” Afrishah said.
