38 individuals, both locals and foreigners, were arrested by PDRM during a raid at a private party in a bungalow in Subang Jaya last night (July 20).

6.5 grams of weed and 1.7 grams of ketamine were seized

Subang Jaya District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Wan Azlan Wan Mamat, said that the arrested were aged between 18 and 27, and a majority of them were private university students. The raid began at 12:30 AM in a residential area of Subang Jaya.

4 of the suspects, aged between 21 and 25, were involved in drug trafficking.

All suspects were then brought to the Subang Jaya Police Station for urine tests. 12 of them, which consisted of 9 locals and 3 foreigners, tested positive for drugs, and were detained to assist with the investigation.

None of them were allowed to leave as all suspects were detained for further investigation, as revealed in an official statement by PDRM.

25 of them were locals, while the remaining 13 were foreigners.

In his statement, Wan Azlan also urged the public to provide more information to the police regarding drug abuse and private parties.

Earlier, PDRM also revealed that Fentanyl, also known as the Zombie Drugs, has been detected in Malaysia, which caused a huge concern as the substance is 50 times more potent than heroin. The Prime Minister also recently expressed his concern about the vape use and drug abuse among Malaysian youth, which he dubbed “remains unresolved for decades,” and urged all parties to work together to curb the problem.
