Kota Kinabalu: Kim Teck Cheong Holdings Group (KTC) recorded sales of about RM2 million within half a day on the third day of its three-day KTC Mega Sale, as the promotion continued to draw a strong response from shoppers.
The mega sale began on Friday and offers steep discounts on household and daily necessities.
KTC Executive Director Datuk Dexter Lau said sales for the full day could reach RM2.5 million based on the momentum recorded by noon.
Lau said all items on sale are new stock rather than old or aged inventory, and the promotion is not limited in quantity, giving more shoppers the chance to buy at discounted prices.
“This is the spirit KTC has always upheld. We understand that with the rising cost of living, many people are facing greater financial pressure, so we hope this campaign gives back to the community and helps consumers ease their daily expenses,” he said.
The KTC Mega Sale covers a wide range of household and daily consumer goods, including household items, bread and cosmetics, with discounts on some products reaching as high as 80 per cent.
Lau said the strong public support for the promotion reflects consumer demand for discounted goods and shows the company’s commitment to giving back to the community and helping shoppers cope with the rising cost of living through such campaigns.
