MANILA, Philippines — The Office of the Vice President (OVP) said it will pursue remedies following the Commission on Audit’s (COA) disallowance of P375 million in its confidential funds.
In a statement on Monday, the OVP confirmed receipt of the “Notice of Disallowance pertaining to the 2023 Confidential Funds” and said it “will pursue the appropriate remedies in accordance with COA rules.”
COA identified the following individuals as “responsible/liable” for the disallowed amount: Vice President Sara Duterte, Gina Acosta, Julieta Villadelrey, and Raymund Dante Lachica.
“Please direct the aforementioned persons responsible/liable to immediately settle the said disallowance,” the Notice of Disallowance (ND), dated March 31, 2026, read.
Under the ND, the disallowance will become final and executory if it is not appealed within six months, or 180 days, from receipt.
