SANDAKAN: The Ministry of Education (MOE) is in the process of transferring land ownership (pemutihan tanah) to expedite work on dilapilated schools.
Minister Datuk Dr Mohd Radzi Jidin said among the major factors that hinder the MOE effort to repair dilapilated schools is that the lands on which the schools sit are not under the Director General of Lands and Mines, Federal.
Mohd Radzi said Sabah and Sarawak are among states where many school land ownerships have not been transferred.
