MANILA, Philippines — P-pop sensations BINI and SB19 will soon connect with their global fanbases through Weverse, the international fandom platform known for hosting major music acts such as BTS and Blackpink, as they officially become the first Filipino artists to join the platform.
The announcements were made Thursday through separate video greetings posted by Weverse, the global fan community platform launched by Weverse Company, a subsidiary of HYBE.
In their video message, eight-member girl group Bini expressed excitement about connecting with their fans on the platform.
“We are very thrilled and excited to officially join Weverse! BINI’s Weverse community is opening on March 16. See you on Weverse, Blooms! Save the date!” the group said.
Weverse confirmed that BINI’s official community will launch on March 16 at 12 p.m. KST. In its caption, the platform highlighted the group’s achievements, calling them “the first-ever winner of Billboard Philippines’ Rising Star award” and noting their appearance at KCON Los Angeles, which helped bring P-pop to a global stage.
“Look forward to the vibrant energy and exclusive content BINI will bring only to Weverse, as well as their interactions with BLOOM all over the world,” the platform said.
SB19 will follow shortly after, with their Weverse community scheduled to open on March 19 at 12 p.m. KST.
In their own video greeting, the five-member group introduced themselves to potential new fans and longtime supporters.
“We are a five-member group from the Philippines. And if this is your first time hearing about us or if you are part of our beloved community, A’TIN, we have exciting news for you. We are finally on Weverse,” the group said.
SB19 added that they will share exclusive content through the platform.
“Make sure to join and check out our official page where we will be sharing exclusive content made especially for you. We can’t wait to connect with all of you there,” they added.
Weverse teased the arrival of the two groups a day earlier through a “Guess Who?” post featuring silhouettes and hints about the artists.
“Making history and heating many global online platforms, the two hottest P-pop groups are finally coming to Weverse,” the platform said, describing one act as “the first-ever Filipino artist to enter the Spotify Global Top Artists Chart” and the other as “the first-ever Southeast Asian artist to enter the Billboard Year-End Social 50 Top 10.”
Fans quickly speculated online that the mystery artists were BINI and SB19 before the official reveal on March 12.
Weverse, launched in 2019, is a global fandom platform that allows artists and fans to interact directly through posts, live streams, and exclusive content. It also integrates merchandise sales, ticketing, and official fan memberships through the Weverse Shop.
Originally built for HYBE artists such as BTS and Tomorrow X Together, the platform has expanded to include hundreds of global acts, including Blackpink, Seventeen, Enhypen and Le Sserafim, as well as Western artists.
BINI, often dubbed the Philippines’ “Nation’s Girl Group,” is known for hit songs such as “Pantropiko,” “Salamin, Salamin,” “Karera,” “Cherry on Top,” and “Lagi.”
SB19, widely called the “Kings of P-pop,” helped pioneer the genre’s international push with songs including “Gento,” “Mapa,” “Go Up,” “Dam,” and “Dungka!”
