MANILA, Philippines—About 21 kilograms of suspected shabu worth P142,800,000 were seized during a buy-bust operation on March 11 in Quezon City.
Operatives from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Philippine National Police (PNP) arrested two men.
Charges for Violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against them before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
PNP chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. commended the operatives for the successful operation and emphasized the importance of sustained anti-drug enforcement.
“This operation removed a significant volume of illegal drugs that could have circulated in our communities. The Philippine National Police remains relentless in dismantling drug distribution networks that threaten public safety,” Nartatez said.
