Mauricio Pochettino has given credit to Colchester United after the League Two knocked Tottenham out of the Carabao Cup on Tuesday.
Colchester won on penalties after the game finished 0-0 in normal time.
He said: "Colchester made a fantastic game, it was difficult.
"We are so disappointed we could not score in 90 minutes.
"They beat Palace on penalties too, that can happen. That's the beauty of the competition, always something can happen.
"We wanted to go further but we are out."
