THE Pahang Palace has clarified that Tengku Ampuan Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, has never offered cash assistance to the public via social media or WhatsApp, following a recent wave of misleading messages circulating online.

The palace issued the statement on Wednesday through the official Pahang Royal social media channels, in response to messages purporting to come from “Tengku Azizah” or “Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.”

These messages are believed to be designed to deceive recipients with promises of large sums of money while soliciting personal information.

According to the palace, such actions constitute irresponsible fraud and have the potential to tarnish the reputation of the royal institution.

“Members of the public are advised to exercise greater caution, verify the authenticity of information, and not be easily misled by fraudulent offers circulated via social media,” the statement said.

The palace further urged individuals to report immediately to the authorities if they are contacted or receive any suspicious messages claiming to be from Tunku Azizah. - January 7, 2025
