AL-SULTAN Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, Sultan of Pahang has called on the people to foster mutual respect and adopt a positive mindset in order to strengthen unity across society.
His Royal Highness stressed the importance of overcoming differences and focusing on shared values to build a more harmonious nation.
Speaking during the Pahang Bermunajat Raja Berdaulat gathering at the State Mosque on THursday the Sultan urged citizens to rise above divergent opinions and minor disputes that could potentially divide communities.
"Do not let differences in opinion or small matters lead to division among us. Instead, let us embrace respect for one another and find common ground that promotes the well-being of all," he said.
He emphasised the significance of maintaining a positive outlook in all situations, saying: "I encourage everyone to approach life with a positive attitude. We must not rush to judge others or circumstances with negativity."
The event, which was attended by several dignitaries, including the Tengku Mahkota of Pahang, Tengku Hassanal Ibrahim Alam Shah, also saw the presence of Pahang Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail, and other state leaders.
Al-Sultan Abdullah further reminded the government to remain attentive and compassionate towards the needs of the people, while also encouraging the opposition to contribute constructively by offering beneficial ideas instead of sowing discord.
"The government, the opposition, and the people must all work together to abandon harmful behaviors such as spreading slander, fostering hatred, and disseminating false information," the Sultan declared. "Such actions only serve to weaken unity and erode the moral fabric of society."
Through his words, His Royal Highness emphasized the collective responsibility to nurture a united and morally strong nation, urging all parties to act with integrity and focus on the greater good. - February 28, 2025
