Kota Kinabalu: Former Chief Minister Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan has received more support to be the next Sabah Governor, an ethnic association has reportedly said.

Persatuan Rumpun Momogun dan Dayak Malaysia (Rumpun) strongly supported Pairin for the post when current Sabah Governor Tun Juhar Mahiruddin’s term end on Dec. 31, it has been reported.

AdvertisementRumpun President Samson Quintin was quoted as saying this suggestion is in line with the association's commitment to representation, inclusivity and recognition of exceptional leadership in Sabah.

He said Pairin is a respected leader in Sabah with decades of experience in governance and politics.
