PAL launches Palau flights, restores Saipan route

(UPDATE) FLAG carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) has opened a new route connecting Manila to the dive sites and marine wonders of Koror, Palau.

"This launch reinforces Manila's position as a key regional transit hub while strengthening its role as a gateway for medical tourism," said PAL President Richard Nuttall. "It also underscores PAL's role as a reliable bridge connecting Pacific communities with the broader Asia-Pacific region."

Nuttall added that passengers will experience the airline's heartfelt service while traveling between these island destinations.

The airline's Manila-Palau flights operate every Wednesday and Sunday, departing Manila at 9:45 p.m. and arriving in Palau at 1:30 a.m. the following day. Return flights operate every Monday and Thursday, departing the Pacific island at 3:10 a.m. and touching down in Manila at 4:55 a.m.

The resumption of Saipan service re-establishes PAL's presence in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, strengthening vital connectivity for the region.

PAL said these direct Manila-Saipan flights likewise operate twice weekly every Wednesday and Sunday, leaving Manila at 7:45 p.m. and touching down in Saipan at 1:45 a.m. the following day.

Return flights operate every Monday and Thursday, departing Saipan at 2:50 a.m. and arriving in Manila at 5:05 a.m.

Travelers on both routes will fly on Airbus A321ceo aircraft, featuring 12 business class and 187 economy class seats equipped with wireless in-flight entertainment.

Beyond passenger travel, these routes expand PAL's cargo capabilities, positioning Manila as a logistics hub for the Pacific.

According to PAL, these additions join PAL's existing service to Guam and Honolulu as part of an ongoing expansion to enhance connectivity across domestic and international markets.
