FLAG carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) took delivery of its second Airbus A350-1000 on Friday as part of the airline’s continuing fleet modernization program.
Registered locally as RP-C3511, the aircraft arrived in Manila at 5:18 p.m. from the Airbus facility in Toulouse, France. This followed the delivery of PAL’s first A350-1000 in December 2025 and forms part of the airline’s order for nine Airbus A350-1000 aircraft.PAL remains the first and only carrier in Southeast Asia to operate this long-range wide-body variant.Designed for long-haul operations, the A350-1000 delivers greater fuel efficiency, operational reliability, passenger comfort and improved environmental performance, supporting PAL’s growing network between the Philippines and North America.“As demand for international travel continues to grow, this second Airbus A350-1000 will play an important role in enhancing our long-haul operations and elevating the overall passenger experience while supporting the long-term modernization of Philippine Airlines,” said PAL President Richard Nuttall.The airline said that the arrival of the second Airbus A350-1000 comes as PAL continues to build on its operational momentum following its successful recovery and transformation.In 2025, global aviation analytics firm Cirium recognized PAL as the first airline to be on-time in the South Pacific region.The aircraft was designed with a 382-seat tri-class configuration optimized for ample space and high-end traveler comfort.It has 42 “Mabuhay Studios” (Business Class) full-flat suites featuring individual sliding privacy doors, wireless charging pads and large 20-inch 4K screens.In Premium Economy, there are 24 seats featuring enhanced legroom, footrests and 13.3-inch 4K monitors.The Economy Class has 316 seats arranged with a comfortable 32-inch seat pitch and personal device holders.
