MANILA, Philippines — Malacañang announced the temporary closure of its press office on Monday in anticipation of rallies in connection with the Martial Law anniversary in Manila.
In a statement, Presidential Communication Office Secretary Dave Gomez said the New Executive Building (NEB) will be closed for security measures.
“Please be informed that the NEB will be closed, and there will be no press briefing,” Gomez said.
“This is just part of the standard security protocols,” he added.
The roads in the vicinity of the Palace have also been restricted as part of the heightened security measures.
