Crystal Palace were unfortunate to lose against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday.

The London club were unable to get anything from the battle against their city rivals in the Premier League.

A late Noni Madueke penalty was enough for Chelsea to claim the points and a 2-1 win.

Post-game, Chris Richards stated to club media: I think [it was] a bitter ending.

I thought we played really well throughout the game.

Of course, coming to Stamford Bridge is never an easy game, but I thought we stuck in it sadly we didn't get any points at the end of the game.

We just have to move forward with the good things that we did and hopefully get three points on the weekend."
