CABINET Secretary Benhur Abalos Jr. assured the local business community the government is strengthening the implementation of the Ease of Doing Business law in line with the Marcos administration’s push for faster government services.
Abalos on Tuesday met with several business groups and reaffirmed that his office is open to concerns from the business community.
Malacañang said the business delegation raised concerns and presented proposals aimed at improving government processes, facilitating investments, and strengthening cooperation between the public and private sectors.
“Ang sabi ng Pangulo (The President said), we are opening Malacañang. The doors are open for everyone,” Abalos told the business leaders.
He said the Office of the Cabinet Secretary also serves as a “conduit” between the government and the business sector by bringing concerns to the appropriate agencies and facilitating coordinated government action.
Abalos raised the importance of practical, time-bound solutions and the need to balance development, environmental protection, and public welfare in government decision-making.

The delegation represented the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc.; Philippine Stock Exchange Council of Leaders; Employers Confederation of the Philippines; International Chamber of Commerce Philippines; Federation of Filipino Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry; Ease of Doing Business Philippines Foundation; Buklod Bayani Coalition; Women’s Business Council Philippines; and Philippine Association of Legitimate Service Contractors.
