
PETALING JAYA: The Palestinian embassy here says it has received no news of 15 Palestinian prisoners freed by Israel allegedly being deported here as part of the Gaza ceasefire deal.
Palestinian ambassador to Malaysia Walid Abu Ali said he has no knowledge of the issue stated in an article by Chinese news agency Xinhua recently, Berita Harian reported.
Advertisement“Unfortunately, we do not know anything about this,” he said.
Walid was asked to comment on reports that Malaysia will receive 15 of the 60 Palestinian prisoners recently freed by Israel.

Read more On Feb 3, Xinhua quoted Palestinian Prisoners Club’ head Abdullah Zaghari as saying the others will be sent to Turkey, Qatar and Pakistan.
He said 70 prisoners overall are currently in Egypt awaiting their departure to the countries involved, and that discussions are ongoing with other countries to secure hosting for the remaining prisoners.
