LAHAD DATU: The Palm Oil Industrial Cluster (POIC) port is expected to become one of the trans-shipment hubs in this region.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor said the strategic location of the port within east asia allows great advantage in handling bulk cargo where processing can be done here, before being exported to developed countries such as China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
Hajiji said its certain that the new infrastructure would generate the development of local socio-economy, including job opportunities.
