Nottingham Forest have paid £18 million to sign Danilo from Palmeiras.
That is according to their manager Abel Ferreira, who stated that the 21-year-old has departed for a mega fee.
Danilo posted a farewell on social media, thanking the Brazilian club for the five years he spent there.
"They [Nottingham Forest] offered 20 million [euros] to sign Danilo," the Portuguese boss said after a 0-0 draw at home with Sao Bento.
"You pay for quality. Last year, I said that if no one left, no one would arrive.
"As it turns out, someone of quality has to come in. And quality costs money. Of course, we have to chase reinforcements.
"Palmeiras is a responsible club, which has financial goals and sporting goals. The financial goals are practically met. Now, we have to meet the sporting goals as well."
