
KOTA KINABALU: The contractor for the Pan Borneo Highway project along the Sepanggar-Berungis stretch here has been reminded to closely monitor traffic flow to reduce congestion issues on the route, reported Info X.
Deputy Works Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan said various measures could be implemented, such as extending U-turn lanes, closing illegal U-turn spots, and widening existing lanes.
He added that the project’s engineers must always be alert and act proactively when road users complain about congestion caused by the highway construction works that take a long time to complete.
“The main issue on this route is traffic congestion.
