The state government has announced paid holidays on May 26, 28 and 30 on account of polling for the three-phase elections to panchayati raj Institutions. All government offices, boards, corporations, educational institutions, industrial establishments, shops and commercial establishments located in the polling areas will remain closed on these dates. The order will also apply to daily wage workers. As per the government order, employees working away from their registered voting areas will be eligible for special casual leave, provided they submit the proof of voting issued by the presiding officer concerned.

The election schedule will not apply to Karjan and Soyal gram panchayats in Naggar development block and Jaban and Namhog panchayats in Anni development block of Kullu district as their terms have not ended.
