During preliminary investigation, the police found that the object was actually a hot air balloon shaped like an aeroplane, bearing the abbreviation “PIA” (Pakistan International Airlines).

Panic gripped the outskirts of Satour village on the Hoshiarpur-Dasuya road on Sunday morning after a suspicious object resembling a small aeroplane was found lying in agricultural fields. From a distance, the object appeared to be a drone, triggering concern among local residents.

Some villagers heading towards the fields spotted the object and immediately informed village sarpanch Kuldeep Kaur and samiti member Paramjit Singh. The police were subsequently alerted and reached the spot.

During preliminary investigation, the police found that the object was actually a hot air balloon shaped like an aeroplane, bearing the abbreviation “PIA” (Pakistan International Airlines).

Police are now investigating where the balloon came from and whether any material was dropped in the area. A search operation is also under way in the surrounding fields and nearby areas.
