MANILA, Philippines — Lawyer Salvador “Paolo” Panelo Jr. was named as the new spokesman of Vice President Sara Duterte, serving as her official liaison with the media and the public.
“In this capacity, Atty. Paolo will serve as the official point of communication, representing the views and positions of the Vice President and engaging with the media and public on relevant matters,” the Office of the Vice President said on Wednesday.
“We warmly welcome Atty. Paolo to the role and look forward to his engagement in making important information more accessible, clear, and easier for the public to understand,” it added.
Panelo is also Duterte’s legal counsel in the multiple perjury complaints she recently filed against Ramil Madriaga.
