PETALING JAYA: Wan Azri Wan Deris, a blogger who is believed to use the name Papagomo, will be remanded for two days until tomorrow.

This comes after his arrest yesterday afternoon for allegedly making seditious remarks against the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

His lawyer Rafique Rashid said that the investigating officer had applied to remand him for four days to complete their investigation, while the defence objected to the remand request.

Rafique said that Wan Azri was brought before the Dang Wangi remand court this morning at around 9.30am.

Wan Azri is believed to have made the remarks in a two-minute and 46-second video, where he questioned the king’s decision to grant an audience to KK Mart owner Chai Kee Kan.

In the same video, he also allegedly claimed that it was the king who had ordered Badrul Hisham Shaharin, also known as Chegubard, to be charged in court under the Sedition Act.

A video of Wan Azri’s arrest by two police personnel went viral earlier yesterday.
