Paper Rex (PRX) have finally done it. After years of close calls and heartache, the Southeast Asian powerhouse claimed their first-ever global Valorant trophy by defeating Fnatic 3–1 in the grand finals of VCT Masters Toronto 2025. It was a moment not only for the team, but for the entire Pacific region marking a major milestone in the rise of Asian Valorant.

Their journey to the top wasn’t easy. After a shaky start in VCT Pacific Stage 1, PRX had to fight through the lower bracket just to qualify for Toronto. But once they arrived, they made a clear statement, sweeping Team Heretics and then taking down Team Liquid in an intense 2–1 battle. Their aggressive, unpredictable style, anchored by the signature duelist plays of f0rsakeN and Jinggg, kept fans and opponents guessing.

The grand finals against Fnatic were intense. Despite Fnatic’s experience on the international stage, PRX dominated key rounds with clutch performances from d4v41 and rising star PatMen, the first Filipino player to compete at Masters. f0rsakeN’s consistency throughout the tournament earned him the Finals MVP, a recognition well-deserved after years as PRX’s core playmaker.

This win was more than a trophy, it was a redemption arc. Paper Rex had come close in the past international events, including a second-place finish at Masters Copenhagen 2022. Now, with the Toronto title in hand, they’ve proven they can compete and win at the highest level of the game.

For fans across Asia, it was a proud moment. PRX's victory signals the Pacific region’s growing strength in Valorant and paves the way for more global recognition.

With their eyes now set on Champions Paris 2025, PRX are no longer just crowd favorites, they’re champions. And if Toronto was any indication, this team is just getting started.
